academic integrity

As a student at Clemson University, I promise to follow Thomas Green Clemson's vision for Clemson students.  His vision is that Clemson will always be a "high seminary of learning".  There is no true purpose to cheating or taking one's work to use it as your own.  Thus, this is my oath that I will not plagiarize due to its many consequences and my moral principles.  It is simply unethical to take someone's hard work and try to use it as your own.  This post serves as my contract for not plagiarizing.

Rhetoric in advertisements

This advertisement represents the dangers of drinking and driving.  The brand of this ad is Absolut vodka.  This image can be directed at any audience who drinks this particular brand of vodka.  There is a dead patient is this picture as an illustration of the effects on drinking and driving.  Ultimately, Absolut wants you to drink responsibly at all times. Also, this ad appeals to people's emotions because death is a very serious and emotional topic.  This ad portrays that if you drink irresponsibly, there will be devastating consequences.

Pat's first blog

Hey everyone my name is Pat Hutchison and I am from Irmo, South Carolina.  I am currently a freshman at Clemson and am intending to major in finance with a minor in accounting.  I enjoy sports and played soccer and basketball for my high school.  I am the third in line out of my three other siblings.  I have one older sister, one older brother, and one little brother.  I was born in San Diego, California.  I am a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon here at Clemson.  I am also an intramural soccer referee for the spring.  I enjoy having a good time and meeting new people.  I'm not a fan of getting up early but am looking forward to this english class becasue it is one of my favorite subjects.
